In his Apostolic Exhortation Joy of the Gospel, Pope Francis referred to the Church as a field hospital, recognizing and caring for those who are wounded. One of the greatest wounds a person can suffer is the pain of divorce or separation. It affects not only the persons involved, but also children, other family members, friends and co-workers.
St. Paul again is presenting Fresh Start: A Healing Ministry for the Divorced, Separated & Civilly Remarried Outside the Church. It’s a journey to help those who are divorced, separated or remarried outside the Church to share experiences and dialogue with others in a confidential group setting. Included is an excellent 12-week video series featuring people who have gone through separation and divorce and comments from counselors.
