The ministry of Evangelical Charity is more than community service; it is about intentionally “loving people” in God’s name and being in direct service to those in need. Our goal is to guide people to develop charitable habits in their daily lives, through the Corporal and Spiritual Works of Mercy (i.e. feeding and clothing the poor, sheltering the homeless, comforting the sick, forgiving offenses, honoring the dead, visiting the imprisoned, etc.) and Catholic Social Teachings. Our service to those in need provides a model for others “for building up the body of Christ” (Ephesians 4:12) and living as joyful missionary disciples of Jesus Christ.
