September 2020 - June 2021
St. Paul’s Sewing Group meets once a month, the first Thursday of the month, September through June. We do not meet in July or August, although we do take items home to complete during the summer months.
The Sewing Group cuts, sews, knits and crochets items that help make up layettes for the Council of Catholic Women (Operation Layette) and Pregnancy Aid. The group is made up of parishioners from St. Paul’s as well as neighboring churches.
We are always in need of donations.
The group accepts donations of the following items:

The Metro Detroit Quilt Guild has made over 80 quilts plus sweaters, hats, booties and bibs this year. They have worked with us for many years and we truly appreciate the work they have given to help babies in the Detroit area.
This year has been very challenging, but we are hoping to be back on track soon. The Sewing Group welcomes all who want to join us on Thursdays and/or those who want to stop by and pick up our pre-cut materials and/or yarn and work at home to make layette items for the group. Sewing skills are helpful but not necessary.
